Why Axion is different for groups

Every other platform was built for a single store and bolted on hierarchy.

When you're running 12 rooftops under one group, the tools a single store uses don't scale — not the budget flow, not the permissions, not the reporting. Axion was designed for the group model from the start, so the complexity of multi-rooftop operations doesn't become your operating overhead.

Budget hierarchy

Group target at the top.
Real variance reports at every level.

Set the group number once. Allocate to regions, then rooftops, then departments, using percent, fixed, or formula-based logic. Every rooftop has a live variance report against their slice of the pie. Group leaders see the full picture; rooftop GMs see their piece; nobody is reconciling spreadsheets.

  • 5 levels of hierarchy: group → region → rooftop → department → campaign
  • Allocation logic: percent, fixed, or formula (inventory value, prior-year revenue, market share)
  • Variance reports rolled up for leadership, drilled down for accountability
  • Spend caps enforced in real time — campaigns pause at the cap, not after

Group-ready capabilities

Six things every group asks about that most platforms can't do.

Hierarchical everything

Group → region → rooftop → department → campaign. Budgets, permissions, campaigns, and reporting all hierarchical by design.

Per-rooftop branding

Overlay templates, email headers, special branding all themed at the rooftop level automatically. Build once at the group; publish everywhere.

Role-based permissions

Region manager, rooftop GM, marketing director, BDC lead, OEM field rep — each with their own view and action set.

Consolidated reporting

One dashboard for the whole group. Drill to a region, a rooftop, a campaign, or a VIN. Share links preserve filter state across teams.

OEM compliance built-in

Co-op reporting for every major brand. Spend documentation, reach verification, audits scheduled to your OEM field rep.

Acquisition-ready

Add a rooftop: connect accounts, theme branding, set allocation. Live in days, not months. No historical migration required.

OEM compatibility

Works with every OEM-approved website. Reports in every co-op format.

Your OEM field rep will push you to specific websites and specific reports. Axion embeds into every OEM-certified website provider (Dealer.com, DealerOn, Dealer Inspire, fusionZONE, and the rest) and ships canned co-op reports for every major brand. Compliance becomes a scheduled email, not a quarterly fire drill.

  • 100% of OEM-certified website providers supported for specials, VDP widgets, and lead capture
  • Canned OEM compliance reports: Toyota, Ford, Honda, GM, Stellantis, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan, and more
  • Co-op spend documentation and reach verification delivered on schedule
  • Compliant sub-branding for franchise sub-brands within a group (e.g. Toyota Certified Used)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many rooftops does Axion scale to?
Axion is used by groups from 3 rooftops to 50+. The hierarchical model is built for scale — group → region → rooftop → department. Adding a rooftop is a configuration change, not a migration.
Can regional managers see just their region?
Yes. Permissions and data visibility are scoped by region, rooftop, or custom role. A regional director sees their stores; a single-rooftop GM sees theirs. Group leaders see everything.
What if a rooftop wants to opt out of a group-level campaign?
Full override hierarchy. Group-level campaigns cascade by default; any rooftop can opt out, modify budget, or swap creative for their location. Opt-outs are tracked and reported.
How is OEM co-op reporting handled?
Canned reports for every major brand's co-op program (Toyota, Ford, Honda, GM, Stellantis, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan). Spend documentation, reach verification, compliance audits — scheduled delivery to your OEM field rep.
What about acquisitions? Adding a new rooftop?
Axion handles new-rooftop onboarding in days: connect ad accounts, map inventory feed, set allocation rules, theme the brand. No migration of historical data required — just forward-looking setup.
Can we white-label anything?
The admin panel, reports, and client-facing portals can carry your group's brand and sub-brands. OEM-required branding honored where applicable.
