Why we built this

Monthly "newsletter" emails are a relic of 2015.

The dealer group with a 32% open rate isn't sending better copy — they're sending emails that know what inventory is on the lot, what the recipient drives, and what they looked at on the website yesterday. Axion makes that table stakes, not a special project.

Inventory-aware

One email. Every recipient sees different vehicles.

Inventory slots resolve at send time against live stock and the recipient's geography. A customer in North Austin sees the three newest certified RAV4s at Toyota of Austin; a customer in Round Rock sees the ones at Toyota of Round Rock. Same email, per-recipient content.

  • Live inventory resolution — slots populate at send, not at template creation
  • Drive-time or ZIP-based geographic matching per rooftop
  • Fallback logic when inventory is thin — specials, pre-order, nearby rooftop
  • Works in both HTML emails and plain-text alternates

Capabilities

What a dealer email platform should have in 2026.

Drag-and-drop builder

Modern editor with dealer-specific blocks: inventory slots, specials cards, service-due reminders, VIN lookup widgets. Templates are responsive by default and brand-locked at the rooftop level.

Inventory-aware slots

Drop an "inventory block" into any email. Set a rule (newest RAV4s in drive-time). Axion resolves the vehicles at send time — every recipient sees live, relevant stock.

Drip automation

Time-based, event-based, and inventory-triggered sequences. Branch on open, click, reply, or external event (CRM status change, service due, lease end).

Segmentation

Segment on anything — purchase history, service history, geography, engagement, vehicle type, lease end date. Built-in segments for common retention scenarios.

Deliverability per rooftop

Verified sending domains per dealership. Dedicated IPs available. Reputation scoped so one rooftop's bad day doesn't hurt the group.

Conversion attribution

Open rates are table stakes. Axion ties email clicks to VDP views, leads, and delivered units — so you see which sends actually moved metal.

How it works

From list upload to live drip in a day.

  1. 01

    Verify sending domains

DKIM, SPF, and DMARC wizard per rooftop. Axion walks you through DNS changes or handles it with your domain provider.

  2. 02

    Import your list and segments

CSV, CRM sync, or webhook. Axion dedupes, suppresses, and enriches with engagement history.

  3. 03

    Build the first template

Drag-and-drop with dealer-specific blocks. Save as a rooftop template so brand stays consistent across future sends.

  4. 04

    Add inventory slots

Drop an inventory block, define the rule (e.g. "3 newest certified SUVs in recipient's market"). Preview with real data.

  5. 05

    Launch a drip

Pick a trigger — new lead, service due, lease end — and wire up the sequence. Branch on engagement. Stop on conversion.

  6. 06

    Read the right numbers

Not just opens and clicks — appointments set, VDPs viewed, units delivered. Email ties to budget, ads, and CRM.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does inventory personalization actually work inside an email?
Each email has inventory slots linked to a rule (e.g. "3 newest certified RAV4s in the recipient's drive-time zone"). Axion resolves the slot at send time using live inventory and geographic targeting — so every recipient gets a different set of vehicles, current as of send.
Do different rooftops use separate sending domains for deliverability?
Yes. Each rooftop can use its own verified sending domain with dedicated IPs if needed. Reputation is scoped per rooftop, so one store's bad list doesn't poison another's inbox placement.
Does Axion handle unsubscribes and compliance?
CAN-SPAM and CASL compliant out of the box: one-click unsubscribe, suppression list respected across campaigns and rooftops, and audit logs for every send. We handle the legal footer, preference center, and bounce hygiene automatically.
Can we sync a list from our CRM?
Yes. Native integrations with DealerSocket, VinSolutions, Elead, HubSpot, and Salesforce. Webhook and SFTP options for anything else. Lists sync on your schedule (nightly is typical) and enriched with engagement data both ways.
What about drip campaigns for service and retention?
Full drip automation with time-based, event-based, and inventory-triggered sequences. Classic use cases: recall reminders, service due, declined service follow-up, lease-end, trade-in appraisal invite, post-sale welcome.
A/B testing?
Subject line, send time, content variant, and from-name — all with statistical significance built in. Results attribute back to conversions, not just opens and clicks.
